Page 19-36
We started the day by going over the summaries of Chapter One in The Outsiders. Ian, Sophie, and Edie shared their summaries to the entire class. After, we went over the chapter with the class, Ms. Nakada and the class created Cornell Notes for their thoughts about reading and reading strategies. We got passed out a sheet about annotating that we glued to our Cornell Notes. We asked questions about The Outsiders such as;
What is the author doing?
How do the characters interact?
What conflicts are happening?
Then, we ended the day by packing up and then headed to fourth period.
