Jacob's First Blog

~The Agenda :D~
- Blog Corrections
- RJ Check
- Book Project Collection/Presentation
- Reader's Workshop

The first thing we did during the day was write down the agenda, and then we went over Sean's blog and searched for things to correct. His blog was almost on periodt. After correcting, Ms. Nakada went to every one's tables and graded all the reading journals; Ulyses and Edie both shared their own, and then the class annotated page 77 of The Outsiders

The page depicted the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay"; Ms. Nakada went off and shared many intricacies and the structure of the poem. She taught us what kind of rhyme scheme was used, the metaphors inside about nature, cycles/seasons, and impermanence, and the allusion created by referencing The Garden of Eden.

Ms. Nakada told us that our book projects can be turned in next Tuesday, then afterwards shared an example of a one she made on the book Sula. She made us super depressed. Nobody decided to share their own. The class started reading while our teacher came around to collect projects. Andria was reading My Hero Vigilantes Book #5, and Kaio was reading a Stephen King novel. Of course, like the day before, a good portion of the class including Owen and Nicholas were reading The Outsiders. Many people also grabbed tablets to take AR tests. I ended up not reading because that Jacob b**** was constantly second guessing how to write this blog. What a stupid rat. [You are not a stupid rat, Jacob. I believe in you.] But, finally, the day was over and we were dismissed to 4th period.
