Henry's first blog

Agenda:

  • Blog corrections
  • Quote, Questions, Song
  • The Writing Process
Hw: RJ 4.1 T.O. p. 131-149

The period started by correcting Raven's blog and seeing where she can improve, and seeing that Yasmine still holds a grudge. The next step of the agenda is to read the quote, question, and the song. The quote is "Sometimes a breakdown can be the beginning of a kind of breakthrough, a way of living in advance through a trauma that prepares you for a future of radical transformation."-Cherrie Moraga.
This quote seems to be interpreted by the class as when too much happens you breakdown and that can actually help. The question of the week is "How do you take care of yourself during stressful times?"
The class shares their way of handling stress, and some of the most common methods are eating and sleeping. Ian shares an idea that stands out which is busy work or studying. Next, we move to the song of the week which this time, is "Blue Jeans and White T-shirts" Gaslight Anthem.  The song of the week appears to symbolize trying to make the best of your situation. Gabby's Favorite line is "I will love you forever if I ever love at all." Also, for some reason this song sounds like a Bruce Springstein song.

After the whole debacle of the song is finished, we move on to The Writing Process. This is the steps to writing a good creative piece. The steps are prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. Once Ms. Nakada is done explaining the processes we try to count the holes on the ceiling.

I do have some complaints such as not being able to indent, and the keyboard being strange compared to mine.

And Ariel.
